Checking out the conference trips As you all know, if you travel a long way to see something and hope to just walk in – sometimes it doesn’t turn out well! So, to make sure the trips planned on either side of IEEC3 in March 2024 are properly organised and our hosts expecting us, part of the IEEC3 organising group (Steve Grudgings accompanied by Chris Jones) travelled north to Scotland to meet them, and make sure that what we were planning was viable. First look – IEEC3 Conference Programme 2024
Draft Programme Following the excellent response to the call for papers, the IEEC3 organisers are delighted to provide the first draft programme, prepared in collaboration with the host venue, Summerlee Industrial Museum in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Running from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th March 2024, the 3 day conference has a full programme of papers and activities. Additional industrial site excursions are being arranged at separate cost on Thursday 21st and Monday 25th March

Post-Pandemic Hope – Looking to October 2021
From Plan A to Plan C! Our initial contingency plans to reschedule for May 2021 have been, predictably further disturbed by COVID19. The UK national lockdown in the new year underlined how serious the situation had become, BUT there is new hope with the successful vaccination programme well underway as we enter Spring 2021; indeed our conference venue – the Black Country Living Museum – is contributing to the vaccination programme in Dudley! In the interests of safety we have decided to postpone IEEC2 by a further 5 months, from May until October 2021.
