IEEC2 – 2021 – Announcement & Call for Papers
Preliminary Announcement and Call for Papers Building on the success of IEEC 1 at The Ironworks, Elsecar in May 2017, we are delighted to announce that IEEC2 will be held at the Black Country Living Museum (BCLM), Dudley, West Midlands in October 2021 (postponed from May 2020). The event will start at noon on Friday and finish at noon on Sunday and it is our hope and expectation that it will run concurrently with the BCLM’s “Red by Night” event which involves many of the museums engines being in steam and working into the night. Part 2 of the Proceedings of the 1st International Early Engines Conference (2017) published
The organising committee of the 1st International Early Engines Conference are delighted to announce the publication of Part 2 of the Proceedings of the IEEC from May 2017. Published with the Newcomen Society, as Volume 88, Issue 1 (2018) of the International Journal for the History of Engineering & Technology, Part 2 includes a series of excellent papers which were first presented at The Ironworks, Elsecar in 2017. Publication of IEEC 2017 proceedings – Vol.1
The IEEC 2017 organising committee are delighted to announce that publication of the papers first presented at Elsecar in May 2017 will begin with ‘IEEC Vol.1’, published as Volume 87(2) of the International Journal for the History of Engineering & Technology in July 2018. The journal, published on behalf of the Newcomen Society will contain the first selection of edited papers, and will continue in November 2018 with ‘IEEC Volume 2’, published in the following issue of the journal. Full IEEC 2017 conference delegates will receive copies of these proceedings. Copies will be available online and in print from the publishers, Taylor & Francis, here.
