Publication of IEEC 2017 proceedings – Vol.1
The IEEC 2017 organising committee are delighted to announce that publication of the papers first presented at Elsecar in May 2017 will begin with ‘IEEC Vol.1’, published as Volume 87(2) of the International Journal for the History of Engineering & Technology in July 2018. The journal, published on behalf of the Newcomen Society will contain the first selection of edited papers, and will continue in November 2018 with ‘IEEC Volume 2’, published in the following issue of the journal. Full IEEC 2017 conference delegates will receive copies of these proceedings. Copies will be available online and in print from the publishers, Taylor & Francis, here.

The inaugural International Early Engines Conference
IEEC 2017 Over three days, from Thursday 11th until Saturday 13th May, the inaugural IEEC saw over 80 delegates from the UK, Germany, China and New Zealand travelling to Elsecar in South Yorkshire to hear an extensive programme of papers on the history and developments of early heat engines.
